Top TV Series to Watch

TV series have accompanied me my entire life. From an early age I’ve been in love with those quick snippets of creativity and absorbed their ingenuity completely. From Benjamin the Elephant to Full House or Sex and the City – there has always ben a TV series to reflect chapter’s in my life. Today, I want to share a couple of my favorites with you.

Creative Procrastination

I’ve always loved writing and being creative, however, I sometimes struggle and curse it more often than I praise it. The feeling of sitting in front of your computer screen or notebook with a need to be creative, but instead my fingers remain on the keyboard uninspired and unsure.

Writing is the only talent I have in the arts department, I’m not a singer, a filmer and especially not painter. Therefore, when the writers block hits, I feel frustrated, afraid of being untalented. Instead, I shouldn’t be worried, I should tell myself to be more patiened, to wait for it all to unlock itself. I need to stop forcing myself to create and let the creativity evolve bit itself.

We are often foolish in that we let our obsession with creation, following the force of sizzling anxiety and adrenaline to put the intangible into a product, take over the bare materials we need to do it well: living. Taking stock and thinking. Reading, watching, crying, eating.

Our brains don’t just stop because we’re not wrist deep in paint or late night loomed in stanzas. They’re preparing for the next project. They’re recuperating, tidying tiny pieces into their boxes to make enough room to lay out the new ones.

Stop watching the black lines on an empty document dance, put your pen away, let something real bother you.

You’ll create when it’s right, push yourself when you feel, but don’t forget it’s okay not to live it all the time.

Stop sprinting for the exhibition, you’ll run straight past it.

My weekend according to my iPhone

Well, as you all know Christmas is arriving pretty soon. Living in a traditional country such as Germany, it’s no wonder that I’m totally obsessed with it – Christmas markets, mulled wine, waffles, the lot. So last weekend we went to a traditional Christmas market near Frankfurt, baked Christmas cookies, got our little tree up and decorated and even managed to catch up with some old friends at Wiesbaden Christmas market too, which is very beautiful by the way. I hope you enjoy this little selection of pictures, I will report back after my surprise birthday weekend in Munich.

Bloggerboxx Masha Sedgwick Edition

Sorry for rolling off the earth for a bit, life happened, I’m sure you understand! However, today I got a goodie for you: Bloggerboxx was ever so kind to send me their first ever box, the Masha Sedgwick edition with products handpicked by herself. I’ve been following her for quite some time now, she’s a real style icon, so I was definitely very interested when I heard about this opportunity. But let’s not ramble on for to long, show the people what’s in it…

The Weekend According to My iPhone

Oh dear, my weekend  was so busy, filled with fun events and hard work! It started off with 15 people examining my apartment on friday – keep in mind that I only live on 30m²- who were interested in renting it when I move out myself, which will be fairly soon!

On Saturday, I had the pleasure to take part at the lovely Blogger Breakfast at the Heimathafen café in Wiesbaden and met a lot of nice fellow bloggers from the Rhein-Main area, which was nice as being a blogger in the suburbs can be a little bit lonely at times. I was especially happy to finally meet Nina from Mainzer Wohnzimmer in person, who I’ve been following for quite some time now – go check her out! Also, a huge thank you goes out to Giovanno from Stadtblogozin for organizing and Feine Billetterie and Senseo for sponsoring this great event!

Product Review BonjourHK Make Up and Skincare

I was so happy when the lovely people of BonjourHK contacted me and asked me if I wanted to try some of their products. I’ve heard a lot about Asian skincare, but even though I’ve lived in Asia for 9 months, haven’t tried any yet. So naturally, I said yes!
