September Goals

I’ve been super busy lately, I moved apartments and even towns. I switched my 1 bedroom apartment for a 3 bedroom one, but am now sharing it with the bf. I’ve never lived with a significant other before, but so far it’s going really well, I’d say! I also finally finished university, so there’s that. Uni has been a big part of my life for quite some time now and although I am really chuffed it’s finished, I kinda feel empty without it. It’s been such a long few months, it was that sort of worry that really gets you down until you can’t properly focus anymore. Anyway, it’s sorted now, and I can focus on living my life again, having fun and making adult decisions.

As you may know, September is going to be a big month for me. I’ll finally become an adult for once. Since finishing university, I’ve been on the job hunt and had a couple of interviews. I finally chose a company that I’ll hopefully feel comfortable with and will start my job on September 1st. I have a pretty good feeling about it and am excited to be creative in a job environment again. My new job is not exactly close to where I live though, hence I’m looking into buying a car. I can’t decide on which one to go for as the choice is just too big for my non car interested head, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually.
I’m also on the hunt for a new hobby, well hobby isn’t the best word to describe it as I don’t really believe in them. I’m not much of a sports person (or at all to be quite honest), and I’m not really in to any artsy activities either, so the typical hobby is just not for me. I really want to push forward this blogging thing because I enjoy writing, expressing myself online and sharing thoughts, ideas and products with you.I’m really into photography at the moment and am quite proud of my Instagram account as well, go check it out, if you haven’t yet (shameless self-promo), therefore I really want to take it to the next level. That’s why I can sense that I’ll gift myself a big girl camera for my birthday (which is still very far away, but at least I’ve got a goal), so that I can take even prettier and more professional blog pictures.
I really want to wrap my head around decorating the new place, find some trinkets and just make it feel homely. Sometimes I get over-excited with things, but I really want to make this place our own, so hopefully I’ll find a good balance between my taste and his addiction to displaying his skateboards and technical equipment…
All in all, I’m just very excited to not spend my free time with essays or books about English linguistics. I have a huge wish list on amazon and am constantly checking every blog there is for inspiration. I really expect a lot of great thing from fall, and I just can’t wait for it to begin!
What are your goals for fall or September in particular? ♥

  1. Hi –

I’m looking for new blogs to follow, and your blog is a haven of travel + thoughts and I’m so happy I subscribed! Looking forward to more! Hugs.

  2. You’re quite right to be proud of your Instagram. I just followed because those macarons are calling out to me again! My goal for September is to make sure I don’t let my exhaustion from the week stop me from doing something exciting and productive on Sundays. I’ve passed up so many opportunities to go the beach in August when I live literally 5 minutes away just because I’m too tired and now that the summer is over I know it’s something I’m going to regret all winter.

    1. I totally get that Sunday laziness! I prefer lying on the couch all day to going to the beach or lake as well! Sundays are for relaxing, there’s no shame! But it’s also great to spend some quality time with friends as well and enjoy the sunshine as long as it lasts! 🙂 I’m sure you’ll be having a few more nice sunny Sundays ahead! xx

  3. Congratulations on finishing up University!
My goal for this month is to get my outdoor yardwork done before fall hits. Gutters, raking, fertilizing, mowing, some teardowns, etc. Luck to both of us!
