Lovely people of the internet,
a couple of days ago, I checked out Nassau Burger in Wiesbaden, Germany. As I’ve heard mixed reviews about this newly opened burger place, I needed to make a taste test myself. Naturally, I took my best guy friend, as we like to call ourselves the burger connoisseurs.
On arrival, we quickly realized we might have needed to make a reservation first because the restaurant was packed with people. However, we managed to snatch a seat, which was pretty annoyingly close by the door and the wind kept crawling up my back the entire time.
We both ordered the Bacon Jam Burger with a Beef Patty, Bacon Marmelade and Cheddar Käse (side note: it doesn’t come with any salad, so you’ve gotta order that separately!) as we’re both HUGE fans of Bacon -and come on BACON JAM?! As sides we got the sweet potato mash and regular fries – I would’ve loved to order the truffle fries, but boy they’re hella expensive!
Our waitress was very lovely and the food arrived quickly. Bottom line: Bacon Marmelade – not my jam. There was just too much of it on the burger and it was too sour for my taste. The overall burger was good though, not as good as the das! Burger, but I actually preferred Nassau Burger’s fries! I also loved the huge variety of sides (das! Burger might want to work on that as well!). It was a tad bit more expensive, but I really liked the atmosphere. This won’t be my last visit to Nassau Burger but next time, I’ll definitely go for the regular cheeseburger! ♥
